Our Story

Louisiana Home Detention (LHD) was established in 1992 to see that an alternative to incarceration was offered in our community. It was a new form of rehabilitation, a work release program that kept offenders in the main stream of society so they could be productive and maintain their family ties. A program that could save the taxpayers money because the cost could be passed on to the offender saving the parish and state thousands of dollars.

Our experienced staff has been working together for over 30 years with judges, probation officers, district attorneys, and other law enforcement officers to ensure our clients and the community are safe and cared for.
